Cupcake Scrapbook Page

You will all remember the birthday invite i did for Alyssa's first birthday (here it is if you don't), well when i saw the new Cupcakes wheel in the catalogue i thought that it would be perfect for a scrapbook page for her party.

Here is what i have come up with. I really like the way that i have included the invitation on the page. I keep all the invitations i have made for the kids birthday parties and i think that incorporating it on the page is kind of cool. When you flip up the invitation i have put a picture of the birthday party cake in it (because it didn't look right anywhere else on the page) and that is where i am going to journal about the day including her first taste of chocolate (a chocolate freckle!) which is so elegantly showcased on the page!

I have used the sweet and sticky cuts with the Fine Supernova Glitter and i love them. I think every little girls birthday page deserves a bit of sparkle!!! Hope you like it.

Recipe:
Cardstock: Whisper white, Chocolate Chip and Pretty in Pink Textured
Staz on Black Ink

Markers: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, So Saffron, Creamy Caramel
Chocolate Chip 5/8" grosgrain ribbon
Sweet and Sticky Cuts
Fine Supernova Glitter (Chocolate and Pink)
And on the Invite:
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink
Versamarker
Crimper
Pretty In Pink Satin Ribbon
Dazzling Diamonds Glitter
Crystal Effects
Season of Joy stamp set

1" circle punch

Flight of the Butterfly Card

This is one of the cards we made at last night's launch party. Pretty isn't it?
I have used the new in colours Pink Pirouette and Baja Breeze on a base of Chocolate Chip card stock with Whisper White to stamp on. I just love this colour combination.

And what is that pretty border? Well that is the new Eyelet Border Punch! It looks like a bit of lace doesn't it? You can probably guess, i love that too!

And the stamp ets are becoming firm favourites. Flight of the Butterfly is going to be a good one for making girls cards, it has lots of pretty options especially using two-step stampin'. And Pocket Silhouettes is already getting a good workout from me.

I hope all who came really enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the new products. I did!

Three Little Words on a Ladybug!

My box of new catalogue goodies came yesterday and i have been busy using some of it. I only wish i had more time to use more of it!!!
Today i have a card to show you in which i have used the new In Colours Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango. Very Bright colours but coupled with Summer Sun they made a nice warm card. I have used the Pick A Petal set to make a ladybug! Pick-A-Petal is a set i have just recieved for FREE!!! One of the perks of being a demonstrator is that you have the chance to earn free stamp sets and i just earnt 10 of them!!!!! (Yes i am very lucky and up to my ears in rubber but this just means that you get to see lots of different things as i try them out). Back to Pick-A-Petal, i love this set because i have seen flowers, butterflies, dragonflies, trees, surfboards, candles and ladybugs all made out of the same set!!! I'm slowly working through that list to try them all out.

I have coupled the set with the new Three Little Words set (a bargain at $24.95) and very classic.

I hope you are all making cards or scrap pages to show me so that you can go into the draw to win a free punch!!! I'm still waiting for your entries so get started!

Im having a little break for the easter weeked to spend some time with my family but i will be back early next week with some more to show you. I have some fabulous things planned for my launch next week so if you are in the area and would like to come let me know.

An Oldie with new colours

I really like the Loads of Love set and those of you who read my blog will see all of the use i have been getting from it lately with Valentines Day, Friends Moving House, Birthdays, Easter etc.
I recentley got the Tailgaiting wheel and thought i would give it a go with the Loads of Love set. So this is what i made. I was inspired by a card made in the 2006-2007 Ideas Book and Catalogue (see it pays to keep the catalogues for ideas and inspiration!). I have used two of the new in colours Pacific Point and Kiwi Kiss along with Chocolate Chip and Kraft to give the card a real male feel. I have also used my Mat Pack and White Gel Pen for some faux stitching on the road.
Have you seen the new catalogue yet? It has lots of great new colours and i am eagerly awaiting my most recent order so i can play with lots of new things. If you would like a copy of the catalogue, you can either hold a workshop and get it for free or you can purchase one for $10 (RRP $12.95 + P&H) up until my launch party on the 17th April. Why not come along to the launch and make some cards?

Bushfire Appeal Final Donation Amount

Thanks to everyone who participated in the Bushfire Appeal. Stampin' Up! was able to raise $ 77,889.63Italic for the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. What a great effort!

I'm trying to get done all the samples for my upcoming classes so that you can all see them at the New Catalogue Launch Party. So it's busy busy busy around here!

The card i have for you today was made using the new Cheers to You set. I really love this set because it is so versatile and you can make some quick and easy cards (male cards too) with it. I have used Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst Card stock and i have stamped my images in Staz On Black and then coloured them in with my Stampin' Write Markers. I have also used the 1 1/4" circle punch and some whisper white grosgrain ribbon. No that isnt champagne bubbles on the card it is just Dazzling Diamonds Glitter which i have adhered using a 2 way glue pen.
Hope you like it!

It's a Special Day!

Today is a special day!!!!!

No, it's not because the new catalogue is released today! It is because it is my baby girl Alyssa's first birthday! Happy Birthday my beautiful daughter.

Today we will be taking Alyssa snd Tyson to the zoo. This is what we did on Tyson's 1st birthday so we thought we would continue the tradition. I try to scrapbook very special days and i thought that the stamp set Wild About You is perfect for a day at the zoo page. Recently i scrapped a page for Tyson's first birthday and after today i will have another page to do for Alyssa's birthday.

I have used the new In Colours for this page. Pacific Point, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss and Red Riding Hood.

All of these colours are available as of today as is the NEW CATALOGUE!
Why not make some cards using the new products and come to my launch party on the 17th April. RSVP is essential so email me for details.
